Rubbish
We do the litter-bug jitterbug
Beer can plastic mug
Empty packet of fags
Dog ends crisp bags
Chewing gum on a pew
Sweet paper on your shoe
Match sticks, bus ticket,
Burger box and lolly stick it’s
Just a mess and quite depressing
Call it town & country dressing
Waste basket’s over-flowing
See the paper weeds growing
Rubbish, look out for the rubbish
We don’t want your rubbish
Wont you keep it to yourself
We don’t want your wealth of rubbish
What’s that over there?
Could be something ,could be nothing
If it were a coin you’d
Bend down and purloin it
But it’s not it’s just a piece of paper
So you spurn it
The cost of paying someone else
To pick it up and burn it
Is greater than the value of the
Coin it might have been
Know what i mean? Say no more?
Are you sure you can afford it?
Rubbish, look out for the rubbish
We don’t want your rubbish
Wont you stick it in a bin
We’re up to the chin in rubbish
I think this song’ll make me a star
What do you think of it so far? – rubbish
It’s a fact of our society
With throw away commodities
The one who keeps it tidy
Is regarded as an oddity
On a bus, on a train
Even on an aeroplane
Our motto is “who cares?
Use it here and now and leave it there”
Bus shelter’s not been swept in years
Look out you nearly stepped in…
Who picks up the litter bill
The tax payers bitter pill
Give you a clue it’s me and you
Rubbish
