Paint me a picture
With fine feathered words
Who’s song soars and searches
Like the Nightingale bird
Who’s dragon’s-breath flames
Fan a fire in my heart
And conjure up laughter
Or tears by their art.
I never saw mountains
or billowing seas
Or bright rainbow flowers
Or bronchial trees
I never saw sunset
Blushing a cloud
Nor moonlight
Silver a lake with it’s shroud
So much of this world
I never did see
Till your gilded words
Woke it’s glory in me
